5 hours full day trip
Inclusive of all food and refreshments

In the town of Valencia, Negros Oriental located 9.4 kilometers west of Dumaguete City lies the beautiful Casaroro Falls considered to be the most photographed waterfall in the entire Negros Province.

Casaroro Falls is lodged deep into the rock crevices of the rugged Valencia Mountains. With an astounding height of 100 feet, the water plunges into a deep cold basin before it flows down to stream. The waterfall is considerably narrow, instead of the usual wide cascade, but this is precisely what makes Casaroro unique. Though despite its narrowness, the volume of water that drops is heavy and causes a roar as it touches the pool. Around the basin are natural boulders huge enough to rest any travel’s weary feet. (we advice you to wear adequate walking shoes due to 350 steps.) After the enjoying the natures gift, we proceed to Valencia, where we shall have our picnic lunch in the local park. To finish the day, we shall visit the twin falls of Pulangbato which is also located in the same town.

Tour 5: City Tour
5 hour day trip
Excluding lunch at Why not Restaurant

Tour includes the City’s historic landmarks:

BELL TOWER
The stone bell tower is an old landmark of Dumaguete City and it is a reminder of the city's history when pirates from the Mindanao used to come and kidnap beautiful local maidens in the late 18th century. Built between 1774 and 1776, the bellfry stood and served as a watchtower, alerting village people of marauding pirates when its bell was rang.

BOULEVARD
The capital's seafront boulevard, lined with old trees and memorial houses and some of the elegant dining establishments of the city. Dumaguete's most popular promenade and sunrise; jogging track for health buffs.

ST. CATHERINE OF ALEXANDRIA CATHEDRAL
This more than a century old landmark is an icon of Dumaguete's religious atmosphere. The church is located in front of Quezon Park

QUEZON PARK
For decades, this place has been the rendezvous of people from all walks of life. This park holds beautiful tree lines and a playground for kids, it has enough area to hold concerts and the famous "TAYADA SA PLAZA" every Sunday night.

PUBLIC MARKET
In the bustling downtown area is the city market filled with tiny stalls and rows of tables stacked with local fresh produce. Meat and vegetables are usually freshest in the early morning hours. Fishermen from neighboring towns also bring in their catch during this time. The public market could be a bit noisy and a tad cluttered because of so many people coming in and out of the building. Other products that could be sourced from there include pots and pans, baskets, brooms and other cleaning agents, plastic products, rice, livestock feeds, even freshwater pearls, watches and gold jewelry.

ANG TAY GOLF COURSE AND DRIVING RANGE
The proximity of Angtay Golf Club makes it convenient for all golf enthusiasts in the city to practice their swings after work at the office. In the late afternoons, it is a common sight to find junior golfers lining up for training sessions as well. Students and youngsters would most likely be in this beach to relax and enjor a Sunday with their peers.

KATIPUNAN HALL (Mission Hospital)
Once the City Mission Hospital, Katipunan Hall is now converted into classrooms and educational departments. Interestingly enough, much of the hospital’s original structure has been retained. The Mission Hospital was first opened in December of 1915 by Dr. Langheim and his nurse-wife who were the pioneers of medical missionary work in Negros Oriental. Both were also educators at the school.

THE SILLIMAN UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
In the year 1978, construction began for this 3 storey building using funds donated by the USAID foundation or the United States of America through the office of American International Development. It was finished within one year, and formally inaugurated on August 28, 1979. It still remains to be one of the biggest libraries in the Philippines.

THE SILLIMAN HALL
The Silliman Hall is the oldest known building in the campus. It was erected in 1903 when the need for additional classrooms arose. Today, it serves as a museum and a venue for university dinner conferences and the like.

SEA PORT
This beautiful sight can be seen from the Rizal Boulevard. This is the hub for the people who hail from the nearby islands of Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, Mindanao and Luzon

Tour 6: Forest Camp, War Memorabilia, Filipino-American-Japanese Amity Shrine
5 hour day trip
Inclusive of pack lunch and refreshments

Forest Camp
Forest Camp was first opened to the public in 1990. It began as a 6,000 square meter property originally used as the family’s private picnic and camping grounds and with nothing much but a simple shed. Today it occupies 2.2 hectares of land. At Forest Camp, one can either hike, swim in the cool freshwater pool, picnic or camp at the grounds.

Cata-al War Memorabilia
Initiated by an 84 year old World War II survivor Porforio Cata-al, this private collection can be found at his residence cum museum in the town of Valencia. His memorabilia includes bombs and grenades, Japanese and American bills, coins and medals, even charred pieces of an authentic military uniform. Upon reaching the driveway of his stone house, past a painted sign in Japanese characters, a mummy of a Japanese soldier sits quietly in the passenger’s side of an old military jeep. This, and other eerie odds and ends of the past war collected throughout the years, is one of the reasons why the Cata-al War Memorabilia is a must see.

Filipino-American-Japanese Amity Shrine
On a hilltop in the town of Valencia stands a 3-sided pillar signifying the 3 countries (Philippines, America and Japan) that once fought a fierce battle in the very site during World War II. It was unveiled in 1977 by war veterans and descendants of those whose lives were taken by the vicious war. The shrine has a magnificent view of Dumaguete City and the neighboring towns plus the islands of Cebu and Siquijor across the ocean
